Veterans' Benefits and Aid
The veteran who needs help in receiving benefits has many
obstacles standing in his or her path. The Veterans of Foreign
War works daily through local, state and federal agencies to
further the welfare of our nation's veterans. The VFW works on
the federal and state level for legislation that benefits the
veteran.
The Department Service Officer of the Veterans of Foreign
Wars, Department of Wisconsin, offers multifaceted programs to
aid the Wisconsin veteran. Each county has a CVSO (County
Veteran Service Officer) to also aid the veteran. Each
Veterans of Foreign Wars District within the state has a
District Service Officer to assist the Post Service Officer in
aiding veterans.
The Department, District and Post Service Officers can be
reached through the Wisconsin VFW website,
www.vfwofwi.com.
Even with this assistance the veteran may have problems in
receiving his or her benefits. Veterans in the state of
Wisconsin are lucky in the fact that there are many government
representatives who believe that helping and supporting the
American Veteran is good business.
This list below of representatives have proven
their willingness to aid the veteran of Southeast Wisconsin.
If a veteran feels that they are not receiving the benefits
they deserve they will listen, investigate and work toward
helping the veteran receive their benefits.
